It’s homecoming weekend in Corvallis, and OSU is eager to bolster their 2025 recruiting class with several targets visiting campus for official visits.
After losing out on top prospect and 4-star quarterback Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, who committed to Cal, Oregon State has yet to extend an offer to another quarterback.
However, that could change shortly, as the Beavers are scheduled to host 3-star quarterback Tristan Ti’a from Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, CA, for an official visit.
Ti’a, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback, currently has offers from Boston College, UNLV, and Colorado State but is set to take his first official visit to Oregon State.
“I can’t really put it into words—I’ve always liked the school, and their colors are a nice bonus. I really enjoy the stadium too.”
Along with the schools that have extended offers, Utah and Washington State are also showing interest in Ti’a. However, the Beavers have secured the first official visit, and he’s excited about the trip.
“I’m looking forward to being on campus,” Ti’a shared with BeaverBlitz, “and experiencing the Oregon State vibe on my official visit.”
Ryan Gunderson and JR Moala have been key figures in Ti’a’s recruitment to the Beavers, and Gunderson has built a strong relationship with Ti’a over the years.
“I met Gunderson during my sophomore year when he came to my school. He’s a fantastic coach and a great person—I really like him! I got to know Coach Moala during an unofficial visit to Oregon State after a 7v7 tournament, and I like him a lot too!”
Ti’a has had an impressive start to his senior season at Amador Valley, completing nearly 80% of his passes with 19 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He’s averaging 280 passing yards per game, while also showcasing his running ability with 494 rushing yards and nine touchdowns over just seven games.
The last quarterback from Pleasanton to play for Oregon State, Sean Mannion, had a successful career, and Beaver fans could soon see another talented player from Pleasanton join the Black and Orange.
