NC State Moves Forward in Pursuit of Under-the-Radar Guard Wes Enis

NC State basketball is making strides in its recruitment of former Division II standout Wes Enis, who is currently in Raleigh for an official visit with the Wolfpack.

Just under a week after head coach Will Wade and his staff began showing interest in Enis, the Lincoln Memorial transfer is now on campus. According to 247Sports’ Dushawn London, this marks Enis’ first visit to a Division I program since an earlier stop at Minnesota.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound guard had an impressive two-year run at Lincoln Memorial, earning South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year honors and following it up with a strong sophomore season. He averaged 20.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting 41.1% from three-point range.

Enis has also been in contact with other D1 programs via Zoom, including DePaul, Iowa, South Florida, and West Virginia.

While NC State has already added three guards through the transfer portal this offseason, the program still has roster spots available for the 2025–26 campaign, making Enis a potential fit as Wade continues to reshape the backcourt.
