One NFL team appears to continually be seen as the ideal match for Sanders. In Luke Easterling’s most recent mock draft for Athlon Sports, he predicts that the Las Vegas Raiders will choose Sanders with the eighth overall pick.
According to Easterling on Oct. 22, the Raiders are the most desperate NFL team for a quarterback upgrade, even though this draft year is not ideal for needing one, there is still potential to consider.

There has been a lot of excitement surrounding Sanders potentially becoming the new leader of the Raiders organization. During the offseason of 2024, Gardner Minshew agreed to a two-year, $25 million deal with Las Vegas. The Raiders can opt out of Minshew’s contract in 2025, but letting go of the veteran would result in a $10.8 million dead cap hit for the franchise, according to Spotrac.
