Giannis Antetokounmpo Shares Thoughts on Bucks Coach Doc Rivers
After the Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated from the postseason with a 119-118 loss to the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 on Tuesday evening, Giannis Antetokounmpo was asked about his head coach, Doc Rivers.
The two-time MVP expressed strong admiration for Rivers, saying, “I love Doc. I think he’s a great human being. He’s a great guy, knows how to lift your spirits, and always says the right thing at the right time. I remember watching him on TV when I was a kid. I love him, not just as a coach, but as a person. He’s a great person, and I love working with him.”
Rivers took over as the Bucks’ head coach midway through the 2023-24 season. Unfortunately, the team has now been knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by the Pacers for two consecutive years.
