New York Knicks Make Huge Announcement Before Showdown

On Friday evening, the New York Knicks are set to face the Denver Nuggets in Colorado.

The Knicks enter the matchup after a 103–100 defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Madison Square Garden.

In that game, Josh Hart recorded 10 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists, shooting 4-for-11 from the field over 25 minutes of action.

For Friday’s matchup, the New York Knicks may be missing one of their key contributors, as Josh Hart has appeared on the injury report.

The former Villanova Wildcats men’s basketball standout is averaging 11.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this season, while shooting 48.7% from the field and 37.8% from beyond the arc across 51 appearances.

According to Ian Begley of SportsNet New York (SNY): “Knicks listing Josh Hart as questionable for tomorrow at Denver with a lower back contusion. Hart suffered the injury last night vs OKC.”

New York Knicks This Season

The New York Knicks enter the night holding the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40–23 record through 63 games.

They have won six of their last ten contests and hold a 16–14 record in 30 road games this season.

After facing the Denver Nuggets, the Knicks will return to action on Sunday when they travel to play LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Steve Popper of Newsday reported: “Knicks list Josh Hart as questionable with lower back contusion for tomorrow — Nuggets are facing Lakers tonight and Aaron Gordon is still out, with tomorrow as possible target.”

The New York Knicks are coming off a season in which they advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years.

Since arriving in New York, Josh Hart has been a key factor in helping the franchise become a consistent contender.

Nuggets Right Now

On the other side, the Denver Nuggets sit fifth in the Western Conference with a 38–24 record through 62 games.

They are set to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.
