For Tuesday’s matchup, the New York Knicks confirmed they will once again be without Landry Shamet.
According to Stefan Bondy of The New York Post, Shamet is sidelined with a tibial plateau contusion — essentially a bone bruise in the knee, with recovery timelines that can vary significantly.
Landry Shamet is averaging 9.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 43.9% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range across 46 appearances.
He is currently in his second season with the New York Knicks.
New York Ahead Of Pelicans Battle
After reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in 2025, the New York Knicks are putting together another impressive campaign.
They currently sit third in the Eastern Conference with a 47–25 record through 72 games.
The Knicks are riding a six-game winning streak and have been especially strong at home with a 26–9 mark.
After facing the New Orleans Pelicans, they’ll hit the road Thursday to take on LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina.

On the other side, the New Orleans Pelicans sit 11th in the Western Conference with a 25–47 record through 72 games.
They’ve won six of their last 10 contests but have struggled on the road, posting a 9–25 record in 34 games away from New Orleans.
