Mississippi State Freshman Center Jamarion Davis-Fleming Entering Transfer Portal
After one season with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, freshman center Jamarion Davis-Fleming is expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per reports.
A Canton, Mississippi native, Davis-Fleming was part of a 2025 recruiting class brought in by head coach Chris Jans during a major roster overhaul. With only a couple of returning players seeing consistent minutes, the Bulldogs leaned heavily on new additions throughout the season.
Mississippi State finished 13–19 overall with just five SEC wins, but Davis-Fleming emerged as a promising young contributor. In about 20 minutes per game, he averaged 3.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. During conference play, he ranked among the SEC’s top 20 in several defensive categories, including total blocks and block rate.
The 6-foot-11 big man had only three double-digit scoring performances, though all came against high-level competition. One of his standout games came against rival Ole Miss Rebels, when he recorded 13 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks while shooting efficiently from the field. He also posted at least two blocks in 10 SEC games, showcasing his defensive presence.
Ranked No. 96 nationally in the 2025 class, Davis-Fleming entered college as a top-100 prospect and will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next school.
His departure adds to what is shaping up to be another major transition period for Mississippi State. The program is set to lose five of its top six scorers due to exhausted eligibility, including key seniors. While standout guard Josh Hubbard is expected to return after averaging more than 22 points per game, the Bulldogs will need to rebuild much of their frontcourt production heading into next season.
