Baylor Transfer EDGE Kamauryn Morgan Commits to Missouri
Former Baylor Bears freshman EDGE Kamauryn Morgan has officially signed with the Missouri Tigers after spending nearly four months in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Morgan originally entered the portal on Dec. 30, 2025, following his freshman season at Baylor, where he appeared in 10 games. The 6-foot-5, 251-pound defender played a limited role as a third-string outside linebacker, logging 125 snaps—67 of which came as a pass rusher. He finished the year with six tackles and one quarterback hurry, recording his first collegiate tackle against SMU Mustangs early in the season.
A four-star recruit in the 2025 class out of South Oak Cliff High School in Texas, Morgan was ranked as the No. 35 edge rusher and No. 302 overall prospect nationally.
His path through the portal was eventful. Morgan initially committed to Virginia Tech Hokies in early January but backed off that decision within a week after being ruled ineligible due to an academic issue at Baylor. He reentered the portal on Jan. 16—the final day of the winter transfer window—and quickly drew significant interest from multiple programs, including Auburn Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Texas Longhorns.
Considered one of the top remaining players available in the portal, Morgan ultimately chose Missouri, committing before a planned visit to Auburn.
He becomes the 30th addition to Missouri’s 2026 transfer class and joins a group of incoming edge defenders that includes Jaden Jones (from Florida State), CJ May (from Louisville), and Cavan Tuley (from Houston). Morgan is also the program’s second transfer pickup in the past week, alongside former Northern Illinois defensive lineman Mark Hensley.
