Georgetown guard KJ Lewis, who earned All-Big East third-team honors this season, is entering the transfer portal for the second year in a row. The 6-foot-4 guard led the Hoyas in scoring before suffering a season-ending ankle injury in February.
Georgetown Hoyas guard KJ Lewis — a third-team All-Big East selection — is reportedly entering the transfer portal for the second consecutive year, according to On3.
After beginning his career with the Arizona Wildcats, Lewis transferred to Georgetown and became a key contributor this season. He played in 28 games with 27 starts, leading the team with 14.9 points per game — good for ninth in the Big East. He also ranked second in the conference with 2.1 steals per game and led the Hoyas in rebounding at 5.1 per contest.
The 6-foot-4 guard saw his season cut short due to a left ankle injury suffered against Marquette Golden Eagles on February 24, causing him to miss the final six regular-season games.
Georgetown finished the year 16–18 overall and 6–14 in conference play but made a run to the Big East Tournament semifinals before falling to the UConn Huskies.
Prior to his time in Washington, Lewis spent two seasons at Arizona, where he averaged 10.8 points and 4.6 rebounds across 37 games in his final year, earning Pac-12 All-Freshman honorable mention honors in 2023–24. Across 73 career games with the Wildcats, he posted averages of 8.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals.
