COLUMBUS, Ohio — Elite 2028 wide receiver Braylon Clark is set to return to Columbus for a multi-day visit.
Clark, who picked up an offer from the Ohio State Buckeyes football last summer under former offensive coordinator Brian Hartline, has quickly become one of the most sought-after prospects in the country. The five-star playmaker is ranked No. 5 overall and the No. 3 wide receiver in the Rivals Industry Ranking, and currently stars at Charlotte Country Day School.
Ohio State has yet to secure a receiver commitment in the 2028 class, but new wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton is aiming to make an early impact on the recruiting trail. Landing Clark would be a major statement, especially alongside the 2027 class, which already features five-star receiver Jamier Brown.
Meanwhile, the Buckeyes also hosted a key 2027 offensive line target this week in Jimmy Kalis. The Pittsburgh native, who attends Central Catholic High School, is ranked No. 234 overall and the No. 21 offensive tackle nationally. Standing at 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds, Kalis has drawn national attention and has been a priority for offensive line coach Tyler Bowen since his arrival last year.
As of now, Ohio State holds three offensive line commitments in the 2027 class: Brody McNeel, Kellen Wymer, and Mason Wilt.
Looking ahead, several key dates are on the horizon for the program, including the Spring Game on April 18, the 2026 NFL Draft beginning April 23, and the season opener against Ball State on September 5. The Buckeyes will also gear up for their annual rivalry showdown in late November, followed by postseason play and the College Football Playoff, which culminates with the national championship game on January 25, 2027.
