Syracuse Extends Offer to 2029 Keystone State RB Kade Gibbs: ‘A True Blessing’
2029 athlete Kade Gibbs, a standout running back and linebacker from Spring Grove (PA) High, received a scholarship offer from Syracuse during his fourth visit to Central New York.
Gibbs has been through the Syracuse recruiting process extensively, making four trips to the campus—two for game days and two for spring practices. His most recent visit over the weekend proved memorable, as he earned his fifth collegiate offer.
“It felt amazing to get the offer,” Gibbs told The Juice Online. “This is my fifth offer, and it’s truly a blessing. It’s something I’ve been working toward, so I’m very grateful for the opportunity.”
Building Connections with the Syracuse Staff
Beyond the offer, Gibbs used the visit to strengthen his relationships with the coaching staff, spending the most time with Emmanuel Marc, Fran Brown, Jeff Nixon, and Stack Williams. His official offer came from Dennis Thomas.
“I talked with Coach Thomas about how I’d fit into their system, what they look for in players at my position, and what I can work on to keep improving,” Gibbs said. “Getting a feel for the program in person was invaluable.”
For Gibbs, the highlight of the trip was seeing the daily operations of the coaches and players, as well as experiencing the campus atmosphere and facilities firsthand.
Recruitment Outlook
Gibbs left with a strong impression of Syracuse’s program. “It’s a great environment with strong coaching, positive energy, and an emphasis on building relationships,” he said.
The Syracuse offer adds to a growing list that includes Maryland, Georgetown, UConn, and Temple. “It feels great to have five offers,” Gibbs said. “I’m thankful for all the schools interested in me, and it motivates me to keep improving.”
High School Success and Playing Style
Gibbs comes off a breakout freshman season, rushing for 520 yards and helping Spring Grove reach the playoffs. He describes himself as a downhill runner with agility when needed.
“I run physical, hit the hole hard, and can make defenders miss,” he said. “I have good vision in the backfield and can contribute in the passing game. I focus on protecting the ball and doing whatever helps the offense.”
