BREAKING: Ex-Cowboys QB Signs with San Antonio Brahmas

Former Oklahoma State QB Alan Bowman Signs with San Antonio Brahmas in UFL

Former Oklahoma State quarterback Alan Bowman has signed with the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL, joining the league amidst injuries to their quarterbacks.

Bowman, who briefly played for the Michigan Panthers before this deal, becomes the second quarterback from Oklahoma State to join the UFL. Spencer Sanders, who played for the Cowboys from 2019 to 2022, is also in the league, currently playing for the DC Defenders.

A college football veteran with seven seasons under his belt, Bowman played for Texas Tech, Michigan, and Oklahoma State, accumulating over 11,000 yards and 65 touchdowns during his career.

Bowman’s two years at Oklahoma State were a stark contrast: his first season helped lead the Cowboys to a Big 12 Championship bid, although they lost to No. 7 Texas, and a Texas Bowl victory over Texas A&M.

Currently holding a 1-7 record with only two games left in their season, the Brahmas are already out of playoff contention. Starting quarterback Kellen Mond is expected to return, meaning Bowman will likely serve as a backup to begin his time with San Antonio.

However, it’s possible Bowman could see some playing time in the final games of the season. He will be dressed in a Brahmas uniform for their next game on May 23 against the St. Louis Battlehawks.
