A former Penn State Nittany Lions football player is set to take the next step to the professional level.
Malik McClain, who spent the 2023 season at Penn State, is expected to sign with the New York Jets, according to Matt Zenitz.
Over his college career, McClain also had stints at Florida State Seminoles football and Arizona State Sun Devils football, starting a combined 26 games across the three programs.

His most productive scoring years came at Florida State, where he recorded two touchdowns as a freshman and three more as a sophomore. At Penn State, he finished with six receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.
After transferring to Arizona State, McClain redshirted his first season, appearing in six games with two catches, including a 42-yard touchdown from running back Cam Skattebo during the College Football Playoff. In his final year with the Sun Devils, he posted his strongest statistical season, finishing with 31 catches for 441 yards and a touchdown.
