The Houston Rockets could become a major player in the trade market should Jaylen Brown ever become available, according to a recent report.
NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed that Houston is among several teams being discussed around the league as a potential destination for the Boston Celtics star. Other franchises reportedly linked to Brown include the Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks, and New Orleans Pelicans.
While Fischer emphasized that Boston has shown no signs of actively shopping Brown, rival teams are closely monitoring the situation following the Celtics’ disappointing postseason exit. For now, any speculation remains centered on teams expressing interest rather than Boston engaging in trade negotiations.
Ime Udoka Connection Makes Houston a Logical Fit
Among the reported suitors, Houston may have a unique advantage due to head coach Ime Udoka.
Udoka worked closely with Brown during his time in Boston and helped guide the Celtics to the 2022 NBA Finals. Their strong professional relationship has long been viewed favorably around the NBA, making the Rockets a natural team to watch if Brown’s status ever changes.
