With the season drawing closer, Bret Bielema continues to add depth and talent to Illinois’ quarterback room.
On Wednesday, the program announced that Unity quarterback Dane Eisenmenger has flipped his commitment and will join the Fighting Illini.
Eisenmenger was originally set to continue his career at Central Missouri this fall, but Illinois announced that he has officially signed with the Illini instead.
The Unity standout helped guide the Rockets to the Class 3A state championship game last November, where they fell to Byron.
According to 247Sports, Eisenmenger becomes the 12th in-state pledge in Illinois’ 2026 recruiting class. He’ll enter a youthful quarterback group that is currently headlined by former ECU transfer Katin Houser.
