Oregon Extends Scholarship Offer to Washington Offensive Line Prospect Tyson Daniels

The Oregon Ducks continue to strengthen their future recruiting efforts, recently offering a scholarship to Tyson Daniels, a promising interior offensive lineman from the class of 2030.

Daniels, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 275 pounds, attends Kennedy Catholic High School in Washington and is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after young linemen in the country.

Daniels Announces Oregon Offer

Daniels shared the news of his latest scholarship opportunity on social media, revealing that Oregon became the 14th Division I program to extend him an offer.

Following a conversation with Oregon special teams coordinator and nickels coach Joe Lorig, Daniels expressed his excitement about the opportunity and thanked the Ducks for their interest. He also posted photos from a visit to Eugene, including one taken outside Autzen Stadium.

A native of Burien, Washington, Daniels is located within relatively close proximity to Oregon’s campus. His growing list of scholarship offers also includes programs such as Washington State, UCLA, Miami, Alabama, Florida State, and Penn State.

Oregon’s Reputation for Offensive Line Development

The Ducks have consistently built some of the nation’s strongest offensive lines, and that success begins with recruiting.

In the 2026 recruiting cycle, Oregon signed one of the country’s top offensive line classes, highlighted by five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, who was ranked as the nation’s No. 2 tackle by Rivals. Oregon’s overall 2026 class finished fourth nationally and included interior offensive linemen Tommy Tofi and Koloi Keli.

The momentum has carried into the 2027 cycle, where Oregon has already secured commitments from 19 prospects. Among them are offensive linemen Cameron Wagner, Gus Corsair, and Avery Michael, giving the Ducks another strong foundation up front.

At present, Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class ranks ninth nationally and second in the Big Ten, trailing only Ohio State among conference programs.

NFL Development Remains a Major Selling Point

One of Oregon’s biggest advantages on the recruiting trail under head coach Dan Lanning has been its ability to develop offensive linemen for the next level.

Since Lanning took over before the 2022 season, seven Oregon offensive linemen have been selected in the NFL Draft. Those draft picks include Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, Alex Forsyth, Jackson Powers-Johnson, Josh Conerly, Ajani Cornelius, Emmanuel Pregnon, and Alex Harkey.

That track record, combined with successful recruiting and transfer portal additions, has helped Oregon establish itself as a destination for offensive line prospects with NFL aspirations.

Looking Ahead

The Ducks have reached the College Football Playoff in each of the past two seasons and remain focused on returning to the national championship stage for the first time since 2015.

As Oregon continues to recruit elite talent such as Daniels, the program’s long-term outlook remains bright. The Ducks will begin their upcoming season on Sept. 5 with a matchup against Boise State.
