Gonzaga Among Programs Interested in Former Auburn Standout Keyshawn Hall Following Eligibility Decision
The Gonzaga Bulldogs continue to reshape their roster for the 2026-27 season after an offseason that saw 12 players depart from last year’s squad.
A pair of recent court rulings in Ohio and Tennessee granted an additional season of eligibility to certain members of the 2022 high school recruiting class, creating a new wave of experienced players available on the transfer market. Gonzaga is exploring that talent pool as it builds around returning contributors Braden Huff and Davis Fogle, along with transfers Massamba Diop and Isiah Harwell.
One player drawing significant attention is former Auburn forward Keyshawn Hall. According to CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein, Gonzaga is among nine schools that have reached out to Hall after his eligibility was restored. The other programs reportedly showing interest include Kentucky, Kansas, St. John’s, Indiana, LSU, SMU, Providence, and UCF, where Hall previously played.
Although Gonzaga’s primary offseason priority remains adding a point guard, Hall’s offensive skill set makes him an intriguing option for the Bulldogs.
Hall Brings Proven Scoring Resume
The 6-foot-7 Cleveland native has played at four different programs during his college career, steadily emerging as one of the nation’s most productive scorers.
Hall began at UNLV during the 2022-23 season, averaging 5.4 points across 18 appearances. He broke out the following year at George Mason, posting 16.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting efficiently from both the field and the free-throw line.
His production carried over after transferring to UCF, where he led the Big 12 in scoring with 18.8 points per game while adding 7.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Hall elevated his game again at Auburn, averaging a career-high 19.3 points along with 7.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists. He also shot a personal-best 37.9% from three-point range on nearly five attempts per contest.
Over four collegiate seasons spanning four conferences, Hall averaged 16.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while connecting on 37.1% of his 431 career three-point attempts. His accomplishments include All-Conference honors in the Atlantic 10, Big 12, and SEC, as well as recognition on the Naismith Trophy midseason watch list.
After going undrafted, Hall joined the Miami Heat for NBA Summer League, appearing in three games and recording six points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
How Hall Could Fit at Gonzaga
Hall functions as a versatile point-forward who is comfortable creating offense with the ball in his hands. While he is not a traditional point guard, his ability to attack defenders off the dribble, create his own shot, and stretch the floor from three-point range would provide Gonzaga with another reliable scoring threat.
His strong rebounding, particularly on the defensive glass, would also help replace some of the production lost with Graham Ike’s departure.
Hall’s playing style shares similarities with former Gonzaga wing Tyon Grant-Foster, though Hall offers more consistent outside shooting. If he were to join the Bulldogs, he would likely need to spend more time playing off the ball depending on who Gonzaga adds at point guard.
There is also some overlap between Hall’s game and that of rising sophomore Davis Fogle. While the two could coexist in the same lineup, Gonzaga may ultimately prioritize adding a pass-first point guard or a movement shooter rather than another ball-dominant wing, even one with Hall’s proven scoring ability.
