Jazz add free-agent guard Terrell Brown Jr. to training camp roster
The Utah Jazz have reached an agreement with free-agent guard Terrell Brown Jr., rewarding the former G League standout after he played a key role in helping the Greensboro Swarm capture the NBA G League championship.
According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the deal was finalized Thursday. While financial details have not been made public, the contract is expected to be a non-guaranteed training camp deal that includes Exhibit 10 language.
If the contract contains an Exhibit 10 clause, Brown could earn a bonus if he is waived before the start of the regular season and then spends at least 60 days with the Salt Lake City Stars, Utah’s G League affiliate.
Brown, 28, entered the professional ranks as an undrafted free agent in 2022 after wrapping up his collegiate career at the University of Washington. A Seattle native, he has spent the past four seasons in the G League, beginning with the Memphis Hustle before moving to the Greensboro Swarm. He also signed Exhibit 10 contracts with the Charlotte Hornets in both 2023 and 2025 but was released before appearing in an NBA regular-season game.
Last season, Brown averaged 11.9 points, 6.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 50 games with Greensboro, logging 25.7 minutes per contest. He shot 40.4% from the field, 32.5% from beyond the arc, and 78.2% from the free-throw line, helping lead the Swarm to the G League title.
