Tyrese Haliburton Sends Bold Message to Pacers Ahead of New NBA Season

The franchise star ensures that she will be ready for the start of the season and claims to be in top form before the Indiana training camp.

Tyrese Haliburton has offered the Indiana Pacers plenty of encouragement ahead of the upcoming NBA season. The star point guard recently participated in the Pacers Foundation’s charity softball game and made it clear that, while there is still some work to be done during the preseason, he feels ready to return to action.

Haliburton was especially confident when discussing his physical condition, insisting that he has no concerns about being available once the regular season begins. The Pacers guard even said he would be ready to play if the season started today.

“I assure you I will be in great shape,” Haliburton said. “I feel great. I’m doing everything. I’m playing informal games quite regularly. I feel great. I’ll be ready for the season. If the season started today, I’d be ready.”

Haliburton is Already Preparing for Training Camp

Despite feeling strong physically, Haliburton acknowledged that he still has some work ahead of him before reaching his optimal condition. He views that process as a normal part of offseason preparation for NBA players.

The point guard’s primary goal is to enter the Pacers’ training camp fully prepared and ready to begin the team’s preparations for another NBA campaign.

Haliburton also plans to head to Los Angeles soon, where he will participate in informal workouts and pickup games with other NBA players. Those sessions should help him continue rebuilding his competitive rhythm before official practices begin.

“If the Season Started Today, I’d Be Ready”

Haliburton also wanted to eliminate any concerns about his current fitness level. He believes there is still plenty of time before the season begins to continue working and reach the physical level necessary for NBA competition.

At the same time, he understands that there is a major difference between being ready during the summer and experiencing the intensity of an actual NBA game.

“I think any NBA player would tell you that before the first TV timeout, the wind is different,” Haliburton said. “It’s impossible to prepare for it. No matter how much I prepare. That first stretch is going to be exhausting for everyone.”

For Haliburton, the coming weeks will be about continuing his physical preparation without treating the process as a major concern.

Confidence in Rick Carlisle’s Work

The Pacers star also praised head coach Rick Carlisle and the way he manages the team’s preseason workload. Haliburton believes Carlisle does an excellent job of gradually preparing players for the physical demands of regular-season games.

The plan allows the team’s workload and playing time to increase steadily as training camp and the preseason progress.

“I know I’ll feel good at the start of the season. Physical fitness is something that can be explored in the preseason. Coach Rick Carlisle does a great job as the preseason progresses. Our minutes are getting closer and closer to game minutes.”

With that in mind, Haliburton’s focus over the next several weeks will be straightforward: continue working and make sure he is in peak condition when the season gets underway.

A Reassuring Message for Indiana

Haliburton’s comments should come as encouraging news for the Pacers, who will need their primary playmaker operating at a high level throughout the upcoming season.

The guard has repeatedly emphasized that he feels good and is steadily increasing his level of preparation. He now has several more weeks to continue building toward training camp.

“For me, it’s simply about being in the best possible shape. I feel very good right now. I’m going to continue like this. My goal is to be ready for training camp.”
