Houston Adds Veteran Guard in Key Roster Move

Houston Rockets Sign Former Clippers Guard Sean Pedulla

The Houston Rockets have officially added former Los Angeles Clippers guard Sean Pedulla to their roster ahead of training camp.

According to NBA.com’s transaction log, Houston signed Pedulla to a two-way contract. The 23-year-old guard appeared in seven games for the Clippers last season and also represented the team during the 2026 NBA Summer League.

HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto was the first to report that Pedulla had agreed to join Houston. The deal brings the Rockets’ roster to 19 players.

Scotto reported that Pedulla’s agent, George S. Langberg of GSLSportsGroup, confirmed the agreement. Pedulla was named the 2026 NBA G League Rookie of the Year after averaging 23.6 points, 6.8 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game in the league.

The Rockets now have three players on two-way contracts: Pedulla, Tristen Newton and Quadir Copeland. Houston also has 12 players on standard contracts, two on non-guaranteed deals and two on Exhibit 10 contracts.

Sean Pedulla’s Career

Pedulla spent three seasons at Virginia Tech before transferring to Ole Miss for the 2025-26 season. He declared for the 2025 NBA Draft but went undrafted.

Afterward, Pedulla joined the Portland Trail Blazers for Summer League and later signed with their G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix.

On February 20, he signed a two-way contract with the Clippers. Pedulla appeared in seven NBA games as a rookie, averaging 1.9 points in 4.4 minutes per game.

His performance in the G League was considerably stronger. Across 42 games with the Rip City Remix and San Diego Clippers, he averaged 20.3 points, 5.5 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. His production earned him the 2026 NBA G League Rookie of the Year award.

Pedulla also played five Summer League games for the Clippers, averaging 13.6 points, 6.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 steals per contest.
