The NC State basketball coaches are already on the prowl for a handful of rising high school juniors.

Carmel Christian School (N.C.) four-star Cody Peck received an offer from NC State basketball head coach Kevin Keatts on Monday night. The 6-foot-10, 195-pound center is now the fifth official Wolfpack target among rising high school juniors. The staff in Raleigh has been more proactive than its Tobacco Road counterparts in building an early 2026 offer sheet.

Peck recently moved up nearly 20 spots to No. 68 overall among 2026 prospects according to On3, though he has yet to appear on the 247Sports 2026 Composite. He currently has over a dozen offers in his recruitment, with around half of those, including two more from the ACC in Wake Forest and SMU, coming in the past three weeks alone.

In early June, after observing Cody Peck at the Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas, On3’s Jamie Shaw evaluated the promising prep’s ongoing development and enticing potential:

“The appeal of Cody Peck stems from his size, length, and fluid athleticism. During this event, he displayed flashes of his potential. His skill set is developing, as he scored with jump shots, face-up drives, and transition lobs. While he’s still maturing in his game, there’s already a solid foundation, with much room for growth. On days like today, Peck’s talent is undeniable.”

The other 2026 prospects on NC State’s basketball recruiting wishlist include Caldwell Academy (N.C.) four-star forward Cole Cloer, Reidsville High School (N.C.) four-star forward Kendre’ Harrison, Germantown High School (Miss.) five-star center Sam Funches, and John Marshall High School (Va.) four-star center Latrell Allmond.
