During a recent campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, NBC News journalist Jake Traylor, also known as the son of UTSA head football coach Jeff Traylor, took quick action to shield another reporter as gunfire erupted during a failed attempt to assassinate former President Donald Trump. Traylor, who was on assignment covering the presidential campaign for NBC, swiftly protected ABC correspondent Rachel Scott in the press pool, ensuring her safety as chaos ensued. Scott later expressed her appreciation to Traylor, as well as to security and others involved, in a tweet and shared a video showing the moment when the press took cover on the ground.
