NC State Football: The NC State football recruiters might be adding to their 2025 haul this week.

At 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, Louisville Male High School (Ky.) center Isaac Sowells Jr., son of a former NFL offensive tackle, will announce his college decision on Instagram Live. With three days remaining, NC State football head coach Dave Doeren and his staff appear to be the frontrunners among his top three choices.

The other two schools in the running are South Carolina and Kentucky.

It seems that the chosen school may already know the outcome. Late Monday morning, the 6-foot-2, 295-pound Sowells posted on social media that he has contacted each of his finalists ahead of his public announcement.

Isaac Sowells Jr., a three-star power runner ranked at 834 overall and 51 in his position on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, has made two trips to NC State for football visits this year, including an official visit just a few weeks ago.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions still favor Dave Doeren and the Wolfpack. Additionally, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently indicates a 71.4 percent likelihood of NC State securing Sowells’ commitment.

Moreover, as of Monday, the first Rivals FutureCast prediction in the competition suggests that Isaac Sowells Jr. is likely to choose Raleigh as the destination for his college football career.
