NC State Basketball: Priority Target Makes Cuts, The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Wing Is Set To Announce His College Choice.

NC State basketball may be a week away from its second 2025 recruiting prize

Homewood-Flossmoor High School (Illinois) senior Bryce Heard visited the NC State basketball program officially towards the end of June. Now, just a few weeks later, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound wing player is ready to reveal his decision on which college he will attend.

Heard, a highly skilled four-star player ranked at No. 89 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, received nearly twenty offers during his recruitment process. He informed League Ready on Tuesday that he has narrowed down his choices to four final schools: NC State, Xavier, Mississippi State, and Southern Cal, with plans to announce his decision next Wednesday.

In May, Heard expressed his intention to visit several potential schools during the summer and fall. However, it seems that the 17-year-old had such a positive experience during his visit to Raleigh that he has made his decision based solely on that visit. This visit to Raleigh was the only official visit he took.

At the same time, Kevin Keatts, the head coach of NC State basketball, and his team already have one commitment for the class of 2025 from Ricardo Greer Jr., a four-star guard from Archbishop Alter High School in Ohio. Greer, who is ranked No. 161 in his class, pledged to the Wolfpack a week before Bryce Heard’s visit in June.
