JUST IN: Michigan Football Predicted To Land 4-Star CB Amid Other High Profile Sides

The Wolverines are looking to stay hot on the recruiting trail

The Michigan football team has gained significant traction on the recruiting front and now boasts a top-10 class nationally. Although their 2025 recruiting efforts began slowly, they are now on track to assemble one of the country’s top classes. New head coach Sherrone Moore is making a strong impression, and things may improve further as Michigan appears to be the leading contender to secure four-star cornerback Jayden Sanders.

On3’s recruiting predictor indicates that Michigan football has a 93.8% chance of securing a commitment from Jayden Sanders. If Sanders does commit, it would be a significant win for the Wolverines and would further enhance their national ranking.

According to 247 Sports, Sanders is a four-star recruit ranked #215 in the 2024 class, #24 among cornerbacks, and #30 in Texas. He currently plays at Kilgore High School in Kilgore, Texas.

Michigan is battling Baylor, Oklahoma State and SMU

Jayden Sanders is primarily considering Baylor, Oklahoma State, and SMU, with Vanderbilt and Texas Tech also in the running. However, Michigan football is currently in a strong position, with Baylor being the next closest contender in terms of recruiting predictions, holding only a 2.7% chance of landing him.

According to 247 Sports’ Gabe Brooks, Sanders is a dynamic playmaker with a notable football background, being the son of a former all-conference corner. Despite unverified size, he appears tall and wiry. Sanders excels as a three-sport athlete with skills in basketball and track, which enhance his athleticism on the football field. He has shown impressive versatility, including special teams contributions and the ability to stretch the field as a receiver. Brooks notes Sanders’ potential as a big-framed corner or possibly a safety, with the developmental upside to make a significant impact in college and the NFL.

Fans of Michigan football are hopeful that Sanders will choose to continue his promising career with the Wolverines.
