Kentucky Makes The Cut: 2025 recruiting class, standing 7’0, 235 lbs

This summer has been relatively quiet for the Kentucky Basketball program compared to the previous two years, which featured international trips. While the team is engaged in practice and the coaching staff is getting acquainted with their roster, significant updates won’t be seen for a few months.

However, the coaching staff has been actively working on the recruiting front, hosting several players for visits and participating in grassroots circuit events. One player they are particularly focused on is Eric Reibe, a standout center in the 2025 recruiting class. Standing 7’0″ and weighing 235 lbs, Reibe received an offer from Kentucky in late June.

On Thursday, Reibe narrowed his list to eleven schools, including Kentucky, Creighton, Harvard, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford, UConn, and West Virginia. So far, he has only visited Creighton and Harvard.

In a recent conversation with On3, Reibe shared his thoughts on Kentucky:

“Things are going really well with them. I have a great connection with Coach (Mark) Pope, who contacts me almost daily. As a fellow big man, he understands my perspective both on and off the court. I believe he could be a valuable mentor for me. Kentucky views me as a shooter within their system, appreciating my ability to run the floor, take early threes, and contribute both inside and outside.”

Ranked as a consensus top-50 recruit, Reibe hails from Germany but currently plays at The Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. His unique skillset and size have propelled him up the rankings by over seventy spots since the beginning of the year.

Reibe is planning to visit Kentucky soon, possibly as early as August.
