USC Football: Massive Boost as Trojans Official Offer 4-Star WR, The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder

He is a highly-touted recruit.

USC football has officially extended an offer to four-star wide receiver Phillip Bell, which he verified in a social media post on Friday, captioning a photo of the offer with “Blessed.”

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound wide receiver, who is in the class of 2025, is entering his senior year at Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, California, making him a local recruit. This will be his second season at Mission Viejo.

Bell has been a standout since his freshman year, when he recorded 56 receptions for 1,002 yards and 12 touchdowns. He followed that impressive performance with 73 catches for 848 yards and 20 touchdowns as a sophomore, establishing himself as one of the top scoring threats in the state at his position. Although he didn’t replicate those numbers in his most recent season, he still managed to catch 56 passes for 644 yards and seven touchdowns.

Ranked 192nd in the ESPN 300, Bell is one of the top 300 players in his recruiting class and one of just 43 recruits in that list who have yet to commit to a college.

USC’s 2025 recruiting class features five players in the ESPN 300, including five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, who is the No. 2 overall recruit in the nation, along with four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte, four-star linebacker Matai Tagoa’i, four-star cornerback Trestin Castro, and four-star defensive end Hayden Lowe.

In addition to these top recruits, USC’s 2025 class also includes running backs Riley Wormley and Harry Dalton III, offensive linemen Willi Wascher and Elijah Vaikona, defensive linemen Gus Cordova and Daune Morris, as well as wide receivers Corey Simms, Tanook Hines, and Romero Ison.

Bell has received a multitude of offers from schools such as Ohio State, Penn State, Washington, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Cal, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, San Jose State, Syracuse, Texas A&M, UCF, UCLA, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, Texas, Boston College, and Florida Atlantic.

So far, Bell has visited just five of the schools that have offered him, including Georgia, Washington, Penn State, Ohio State, and USC, with his USC visit taking place on June 21, according to 247 Sports.
