Heralded CB Flashes ‘Wolfies’ Signal Alongside NC State Football Coach

Jalen Williams, a standout cornerback from Kell High School in Georgia, visited Raleigh on Saturday, just over a week after receiving an offer from NC State football head coach Dave Doeren and his coaching staff.

Later that evening, Williams demonstrated that he has already picked up the school’s “Wolfies” hand signal by sharing a photo of himself posing with Coach Doeren in the office of the Wolfpack’s 13th-year head coach.

Williams is a speedy 6-foot, 160-pound cornerback with a four-star rating, ranked No. 18 among cornerbacks for the class of 2026 and No. 41 overall in Georgia according to Rivals.

He has now received offers from over 30 schools, which is quite impressive at this stage of the recruiting cycle. His list of offers includes several other ACC programs like Duke, UNC, and Pitt.

So far, he has visited Cincinnati, Duke, Tennessee, Florida State, and, of course, NC State.

In his junior season, during which he earned All-Region First Team honors, Jalen played various positions in the secondary, wrapping up the season with 38 tackles, four of which were for a loss, two interceptions, 10 pass breakups, one blocked field goal, and four recoveries of onside kicks.

Meanwhile, NC State football has secured two early commitments for 2026: three-star offensive tackle Brady Sakowitz from Trinity Episcopal School in Virginia and three-star quarterback Jacob Smith from Reagan High School in North Carolina.
