Malcolm Brogdon Moves On: Leaving His Celtics Tenure in the Rearview
Malcolm Brogdon has moved on from his time with the Boston Celtics. After winning the Sixth Man of the Year award during the 2022-23 season with Boston, Brogdon’s stint with the team ended when he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the Jrue Holiday trade. At the time, Brogdon was unhappy with the trade and the circumstances surrounding it. However, after the Celtics’ 108-96 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday, the veteran guard acknowledged that he has put the difficult end to his Boston career behind him.
Brogdon has faced injury issues since joining Portland and has only played four games for the Wizards so far. Despite this, when healthy, he remains a valuable contributor to a team’s rotation. Moving forward, Brogdon will likely focus on rebuilding his value across the NBA, whether by helping the Wizards or positioning himself for a future trade.
