Reports: Sad Piece Former Georgia Football Tight End Has Suffered a Season-Ending Injury With The Yellow Jackets

Former Georgia football tight end Brett Seither has suffered a season-ending injury with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

As the 2024 college football season approaches, it’s disheartening to hear about a player being ruled out for the entire year due to injury. Unfortunately, that was the case this week for former Georgia Bulldog tight end Brett Seither, who will miss the 2024 season with a knee injury, as announced by Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key on Tuesday.

Seither played four seasons at the University of Georgia before transferring as a graduate student to Georgia Tech ahead of the 2023 season, where he had two years of eligibility left. While at Georgia, he recorded four catches for 54 yards and a touchdown across 27 games, serving primarily as a reserve during his last year.

In his recent season at Georgia Tech, Seither participated in 13 games, making seven receptions for 101 yards and four touchdowns, including a notable 28-yard catch in the rivalry game against Georgia.

He made the move to Georgia Tech alongside former Georgia wide receiver Dominick Blaylock at the end of the 2022 season, which coincided with Buster Faulkner taking over as the offensive coordinator. Additionally, former Georgia tight end Ryland Goede is now part of the Yellow Jackets after transferring from Georgia to Mississippi State for one season.
