Reports: Sad News As Kansas State Football Lineman Sensation Announces Tragic Retirement
MANHATTAN — Cooper Beebe concluded his time at Kansas State as one of the program’s premier offensive linemen.
His younger brother aspired to continue the family legacy, but that won’t happen.
Camden Beebe, who redshirted last year, announced on social media Monday that he is ending his football career due to a medical issue he couldn’t overcome.
“No matter how hard you work or how much you desire something, sometimes God has other plans,” Beebe shared. “From a young age, I dreamed of playing at the highest level.
“Sadly, because of a medical issue, I can no longer pursue that dream and have made the difficult choice to medically retire. This is the toughest decision I’ve ever faced.”
Camden Beebe was a four-year starter and one of Kansas’s top recruits from Piper High School in Kansas City, which also produced All-American Cooper Beebe, now a rookie with the Dallas Cowboys. Cooper returned for another season at school to help mentor his younger brother as he navigated his college career.

The 6-foot-3, 348-pound Camden Beebe was one of the early pledges in K-State’s 2023 recruiting class, committing in January 2022 and signing in December. He earned a three-star rating from most recruiting services.
His announcement came just under two weeks before the Wildcats’ season opener against Tennessee-Martin on August 31. However, this decision doesn’t mean he’s leaving the program.
“I want to express my gratitude to my family, coaches, and staff for their support during this tough choice,” Beebe stated. “A special thanks to the training staff for their efforts to help me return to the field.
“I will now become a student coach to do everything I can to support the team I care deeply about. Thank you to the K-State family for everything—I’ll always be a Wildcat.”
