Reports: Oakland A’s Players Used a Creative Approach to Decide Their Fantasy Football Draft Order
As fall approaches, fantasy football season is nearly here. Both die-hard fans and casual observers get involved in fantasy leagues, and there’s often a desire to find creative ways to establish essential game elements, like the draft order.
Before their game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, several Oakland A’s players were filmed figuring out their league’s draft order in an inventive way.
From the upper deck, the players tossed baseballs, aiming to land as close to a target as possible, similar to bocce. Despite their extensive experience with baseball, it proved to be a challenging task, with only two players managing to get near the target. These two will secure the top spots in the draft.

It’s one of the most inventive approaches I’ve seen in a while. If this is how they decide the draft order, one can only imagine what they might have planned for the person who finishes last.
From his reaction, it appeared that relief pitcher Scott Alexander was the winner. That celebration in the stands was the only bright spot for fans, as the A’s ended up losing to the visiting team, 1-0, on Tuesday.
