Oregon State Beavers: At No. 6, a standout RB and a versatile WR, The Countdown Begins

Jermar Jefferson
Bio: Recruited from Narbonne High School in California, Jefferson had an impressive senior year, rushing for 1,861 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Key Statistics: Jefferson burst onto the scene in 2018, setting an OSU freshman record with 1,380 rushing yards (sixth all-time) and scoring 12 touchdowns. He earned the Pac-12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year title and received honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors.

He holds four of the top 19 rushing performances in OSU history, including two from his freshman year. His standout game against Arizona State saw him rush for 254 yards and score two touchdowns, ranking second all-time, while his 238-yard, four-touchdown performance against Southern Utah State ranks fourth.

In 2019, an ankle injury limited him to just six starts, during which he tallied 685 yards and eight touchdowns. He bounced back in 2020, accumulating 858 yards and seven touchdowns in a season shortened by the pandemic. For his efforts, he was named first-team All-Pac-12 and Co-Offensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press.

Jefferson finished his OSU career with 2,923 rushing yards (fifth all-time) and 27 touchdowns (also fifth).

NFL: The Detroit Lions drafted Jefferson in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he scored two touchdowns during his rookie season.

Victor Bolden
Bio: Recruited by Oregon State from Los Osos High School in California, Bolden had an impressive senior year, accumulating 1,236 yards (combined rushing and receiving) and scoring 13 touchdowns.

Key Statistics: Bolden showcased his versatility at Oregon State. In 2013, he returned a kick 98 yards for a touchdown against the Washington Huskies and set a Pac-12 single-game record with 305 yards on 12 kick returns. He ended the season with a program-record 1,198 kick return yards.

In 2014, Bolden became a key player in the Beavers’ passing attack, recording 72 receptions (13th all-time at OSU) for 798 yards and two touchdowns. The following year, he caught 46 passes for 461 yards and three touchdowns.

In his final season in 2016, Bolden achieved 871 total offensive yards (542 receiving and 329 rushing) with four touchdowns. Over his career, he finished with 170 receptions (seventh all-time) and 1,863 receiving yards (11th). He holds the record for kick return yards with 2,420.

Bolden’s 5,196 all-purpose career yards rank third in OSU history, behind James Rodgers (6,373) and Ken Simonton (5,606). He also has three of the top six kick returns in program history, including a 100-yard return against Washington State in 2015.

NFL: After going undrafted in 2017, Bolden signed with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in a total of 15 NFL games for both the 49ers and the Buffalo Bills.
