Breaking: Exciting News As Mizzou Adding Major On-Field Sponsors For Football Season

Missouri is set to introduce two new brand partners on the playing field at Faurot Field.

The university will announce multiyear partnerships with local companies Shelter Insurance and EquipmentShare, a provider of equipment solutions established in 2015. These partnerships will feature on-field logos starting this fall.

An official announcement is anticipated on Tuesday, but financial details remain undisclosed.

“Personally, and for our athletic department, as well as for all athletic departments, adapting to changes in our field and exploring new partnerships will become increasingly important,” said Missouri Athletic Director Laird Veatch in an interview with SBJ.

Under the agreement, Shelter Insurance, which has roots in Missouri for over 75 years, will have its logo positioned on the northwest 25-yard line. EquipmentShare will have its logo on the southeast 25-yard line. These logos will make their debut during the Tigers’ home opener against Murray State on Thursday, August 29.

The sponsorship deals were secured by Mizzou Sports Properties, the local Learfield branch led by GM Josh Pell.

“As Laird mentioned, it’s crucial to find the right partner, particularly when there’s national and brand exposure involved,” said Kim Damron, President of Sports Properties at Learfield. “I believe this partnership perfectly combines excellent visibility for both partners.”

Missouri is the second school in the SEC to unveil an on-field sponsorship, following Tennessee’s recent deal with Pilot.

These developments come after the NCAA Football Rules Committee and Playing Rules Oversight Panel updated regulations in June to permit corporate advertising on the playing field.

SEC guidelines specify that surface-level advertisements must be sold on a season-long basis and are only permitted during regular-season games, excluding events like home College Football Playoff games.
