Just In: Massive Boost As Eastleigh Signs Another Highly Experienced Winger Short-Term Deal

EASTLEIGH has confirmed the signing of Wes McDonald on a short-term contract after his deal with Partick Thistle expired.

McDonald developed his youth career at Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Birmingham City before turning professional with the Blues in 2015.

He went on loan to Nuneaton Town and Solihull Moors in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

McDonald then made a move to the South-East, joining Yeovil Town, where he played nine matches for the then League Two club.

The 27-year-old then returned to the Midlands to join Walsall, where he thrived, making 69 appearances—the highest at any club in his career.

During the 2021/22 season, he moved to Morecambe, contributing in 17 matches for the Shrimpers before relocating to the North-East to play for Hartlepool United.

Before joining Eastleigh, his latest club was in Scotland, where he played for Partick Thistle during the 2023/24 season.

Upon joining the Spitfires, McDonald expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m thrilled to be here. I look forward to getting involved and hopefully helping the club achieve its goals this season.”
