Reports: Highly Rated Star Nets 5 Tackles In Lamar’s Latest Win To Improve Resume Furthermore

BEAUMONT, Texas – Koda Canady, a sophomore linebacker from Jacksonville High School, made a strong contribution in Lamar University’s 28-14 victory over Mississippi Valley State University on Saturday evening at Provost Umphrey Stadium. Canady recorded five tackles (including two solo tackles) as the Cardinals improved their record to 1-1 in their home opener.

Lamar, ranked among the top four in the Southland Conference Preseason Poll, will host the Weber State Wildcats this Saturday evening. The Wildcats also hold a 1-1 record for the season, having defeated Portland State 43-16 on Saturday.
