Former Montana LB Sensation Signed By CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders

REGINA, Sask. — The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League announced the signing of former Montana linebacker Braxton Hill on Monday.

Hill, who excelled at Anaconda High School, served as a team captain at Montana and earned a second-team All-American designation from Stats Perform after the 2023 season. He was also a finalist for the prestigious Buck Buchanan Award, awarded to the top defensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision.

In 2023, Hill topped the Big Sky Conference with 128 total tackles and received first-team All-Big Sky honors. His contributions helped the Griz advance to the FCS national championship game.

The Roughriders currently hold a 5-7-1 record and sit in third place in the CFL West division. Their next matchup is on Friday against the Calgary Stampeders.
