Reports: Top South Carolina 2025 EDGE Commit Gives Massive Reaction To USC Offer

2025 South Carolina Gamecocks edge rusher commit Jaquavious Dodd has received an offer from the USC Trojans.

According to On3’s latest player recruiting rankings, Dodd has emerged as one of the top risers nationally. The four-star defensive end stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 225 pounds, currently ranked as the No. 98 overall prospect and the No. 11 EDGE in the country.

Cody Bellaire, a national scout for On3 Sports, remarked on Dodd’s potential:

“Jaquavious Dodd has been rated more highly by On3 than by many others in the industry. Early in his high school career, we recognized his physical and athletic abilities and anticipated his progress. Now, as he enters his senior season, he has developed into a formidable force on the field. His length, burst, and power are exceptional for an edge rusher. While he still needs to strengthen his frame and become a more well-rounded run defender, his prowess as a pass rusher and his ability to engage in the run game with his size and agility suggest a promising future.”
