UNC Basketball Coach Drops By for Elite Prep Ahead of List Cut.
UNC basketball is continuing to position itself as a serious contender in the recruitment of Braylon Mullins.
UNC basketball assistant coach Brad Frederick visited Greenfield-Central School (Ind.) on Thursday to check in on senior guard Braylon Mullins. According to 247Sports’ Jeff Rabjohns, UConn head coach Dan Hurley, along with top assistant Luke Murray, were also present as the recruitment of the 6-foot-5, 180-pound sharpshooter nears its final stages. Mullins, who has risen 85 spots since early June to rank No. 23 overall, No. 5 among shooting guards, and No. 3 in Indiana on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, recently visited UNC. He has now almost entirely canceled his remaining scheduled visits.

Braylon Mullins, a skilled backcourt player with exceptional athleticism, is preparing to narrow his top 10 schools down to five “early next week” and announce his decision date, according to national recruiting insider Adam Zagoria. His current top 10 includes UNC, UConn, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Alabama, Indiana, Purdue, Tennessee, and Michigan. The newly designated five-star prospect received his offer from UNC head coach Hubert Davis in late May.
Davis and his staff have yet to secure a major commitment for the 2025 recruiting class. However, there are still several high-profile prospects, including multiple five-star recruits, that the Tar Heels are actively pursuing.
