Top Deals As Oregon Football Aiming To Flip 4-star Sensation QB Commit

Even with an important game week leading up to Oregon football’s first-ever Big Ten matchup, Dan Lanning is still focused on building his 2025 recruiting class.

Currently, Lanning has the No. 8 recruiting class in the nation for 2025 and is aiming to strengthen it further.

He already has a four-star quarterback, Akili Smith Jr. from San Diego, committed, but Lanning is looking to secure another top player by attempting to sway four-star commitment Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele from Cal.

Keawe Sagapolutele, a native of Hawaii, adds to the Ducks’ legacy of success with Hawaiian quarterbacks. With Marcus Mariota winning the Heisman Trophy in Eugene and Dillon Gabriel currently leading the team, both players from Hawaii have thrived, and Lanning is optimistic about landing another top talent from the Aloha State.

As the top Hawaiian prospect in the 2025 class, Keawe Sagapolutele is in high demand, making it challenging for Cal to hold on to him despite his solid verbal commitment since July 8.

This four-star quarterback ranks as the No. 24 passer in his class and is listed as No. 283 overall by the 247Sports Composite. Prior to his commitment to Cal, he received offers from several schools, including Boise State, Oregon State, Colorado, Utah, Washington, and Washington State.

It will be interesting to see if Lanning can successfully secure this player.
