NC State Basketball Commit Soars in Updated Rankings

When Zymicah Wilkins, a senior center at Christ School in North Carolina, declared his commitment to NC State basketball head coach Kevin Keatts and the Wolfpack last weekend, he was ranked No. 121 in the 2025 Rivals150. However, following this week’s update, the four-star prospect has moved up to No. 79 among his peers in the rankings, according to Rivals.

Wilkins, known for his aggressive rebounding and scoring ability in the post, is now listed at 6-foot-8 and 244 pounds. He ranks No. 81 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, placing him at No. 3 in North Carolina and No. 11 among centers.

After his official visit to Raleigh, Zymicah Wilkins opted to join the Wolfpack, choosing them over six other finalists: South Carolina, Georgetown, Dayton, Villanova, Clemson, and Georgia. He became the second early commitment for Coach Keatts and his staff in the 2025 recruiting class.

The first commitment for the program in the 2025 class was Ricardo Greer Jr., a guard from Archbishop Alter High School in Ohio. He is ranked No. 159 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite and remains at No. 131 on the 2025 Rivals150 this week. While he is regarded as a three-star talent overall, Rivals has rated him as a four-star prospect.

With Zymicah Wilkins’ recent commitment and the updated player rankings, the 2025 NC State basketball recruiting class now stands at No. 17 in the nation, according to 247Sports, and ranks No. 5 among ACC schools.
