Arizona Eyes Former UCLA Recruit Devin Williams in Transfer Portal
The Arizona Wildcats are reportedly showing interest in Devin Williams, a former top-100 recruit and versatile big man, as he navigates the transfer portal.
Williams began his college career at UCLA, playing in just ten games as a freshman before redshirting his sophomore year. He found his stride after transferring to Florida Atlantic, where in the 2025–26 season he averaged 7.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game, ranking third nationally in blocks. Williams showcased his versatility as a rim protector and occasional floor spacer, hitting 31% of his three-point attempts.
A top-100 recruit in the 2023 class, Williams played high school ball at Corona Centennial in California alongside NBA prospect Jared McCain and standout college guard Donovan Dent.
Should he land at Arizona, Williams would likely serve as a backup center or power forward due to his 205-pound frame, which could limit his impact at the Power Four level. Still, his defensive instincts and ability to stretch the floor make him an appealing option.
If he joins Tommy Lloyd’s program, Williams would likely fill a supporting role behind Motiejus Krivas, who averaged 10.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks this past season, assuming Krivas doesn’t enter the 2026 NBA Draft.
