2027 WR Keyon Standifer Recommits to Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets has landed its first commitment for the 2027 class, with three-star wide receiver Keyon Standifer rejoining the program. Standifer had previously committed last September before decommitting in December, but has now chosen to return—giving receivers coach Jafar Williams a key in-state recruiting win.
Standifer shared that Georgia Tech always felt like the right place for him, reinforcing his decision to lock back in with the Yellow Jackets.
According to 247Sports, Standifer is a three-star recruit ranked No. 932 nationally, the No. 114 wide receiver in the country, and No. 110 overall in Georgia. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound playmaker out of Newton High School drew interest from several major programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas.
Impact on Georgia Tech’s Class
Bringing Standifer back into the fold gives head coach Brent Key a strong starting point for the 2027 class. After assembling a top-25 class in 2025, Georgia Tech saw its recruiting ranking slip outside the top 30 the following year, making this addition an encouraging step forward.
Williams’ recruiting ability—one of the reasons he was hired away from Vanderbilt—is already paying off. He has emphasized the importance of relationships in recruiting, particularly within talent-rich areas like Atlanta, where strong connections with coaches and communities can make a difference.
With spring and summer being critical periods for recruiting, Standifer’s commitment gives the Yellow Jackets early momentum as they look to build a stronger class and translate that success onto the field.
