Oregon Schedules Fall Visit With 2028 Wide Receiver Prospect Jayce Halasz
As attention gradually begins to shift toward future recruiting cycles, the Oregon Ducks have secured a campus visit with one of the top wide receivers in the 2028 class.
Four-star receiver Jayce Halasz is set to visit Eugene this fall as Oregon continues evaluating talent beyond its current recruiting priorities.
Halasz to Attend Oregon-UCLA Matchup
Halasz, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound receiver from Graham, Washington, is regarded as one of the nation’s top prospects in the 2028 class. He is currently ranked as the No. 11 wide receiver in his class and announced his fall visit schedule on social media.
His Oregon trip is scheduled for Oct. 10, when the Ducks host UCLA at Autzen Stadium. The visit is part of a busy fall itinerary that also includes stops at California, Oregon State, Clemson, Alabama, USC, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin.
Last season as a sophomore at Graham-Kapowsin High School, Halasz recorded 64 receptions for 1,019 yards and eight touchdowns. Notably, despite living roughly an hour south of Washington’s campus, the Huskies were not included among his announced visits.
Oregon Focused on 2027 Class
The Ducks have yet to secure a commitment in the 2028 recruiting cycle, as the coaching staff remains primarily focused on finalizing its highly regarded 2027 class while preparing for the upcoming 2026 season.
Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 4 nationally and No. 1 in the Big Ten by Rivals. The class includes 24 commitments, with 16 prospects carrying four- or five-star ratings.
Among the headliners is five-star receiver Dakota Guerrant of Harper Woods, Michigan. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound playmaker, ranked as the No. 5 receiver in the 2027 class, committed to the Ducks on June 16.
Ducks Looking for Another Playoff Run
Oregon opens its 2026 season on Sept. 5 at Autzen Stadium against Boise State, aiming to build on consecutive appearances in the College Football Playoff.
The Ducks entered the 2024 playoff as the nation’s No. 1 team but were eliminated in the quarterfinals by eventual national champion Ohio State. They returned to the playoff in 2025 as the No. 5 seed, advancing to the semifinals before falling to eventual champion Indiana.
With another postseason run in sight and recruiting momentum continuing to build, Oregon is already laying the groundwork for future classes, including prospects like Halasz.
