SIU, Banterra Honor Du Quoin First Responders With Free Football Tickets
CARBONDALE — Southern Illinois University Athletics and Banterra Bank are teaming up to recognize the firefighters and first responders who responded to last week’s devastating fire that damaged multiple structures in downtown Du Quoin.
As a gesture of appreciation for their service and dedication, every firefighter and first responder who assisted at the scene will be eligible to receive up to four complimentary tickets to Southern Illinois’ football home opener against SEMO on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The tickets are being provided jointly by Banterra Bank and Saluki Athletics as a way to thank the emergency personnel who worked to protect the Du Quoin community during the incident.
