UNC Basketball Recruiting: Hubert Davis arrives at Peach Jam, Who did they take time to watch first?
Hubert Davis and some UNC basketball program staff members arrived at Peach Jam. Who did they take time to watch first?
The coaching staff of the UNC basketball program is actively traveling and participating in events! Initially, they were at the Adidas 3SSB event in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and now Hubert Davis and some of his staff have moved on to the Peach Jam event in North Augusta.
While the competition is ongoing at this year’s Peach Jam event, Davis has begun to closely assess some of the top recruiting prospects for the UNC basketball program. Kicking off the event, Davis was present courtside for the 12:00 PM game, which showcased Class of 2025 combo guard Acaden Lewis.

A few days ago, Acaden Lewis, a highly regarded four-star combo guard, included the UNC basketball program in his final list of eight potential choices. Despite the fact that the official offer from UNC was extended just a little over a month ago, it appears that the Tar Heels are strongly competing for his attention. This is a positive sign for the Washington, DC native’s potential interest in joining their ranks.

During Team Durant’s first game at the 2024 EYBL Peach Jam, Lewis demonstrated his scoring abilities from all areas of the court. He concluded the game with 21 points, four rebounds, and three assists, delivering an impressive performance in front of several Power 5 head coaches.
Throughout the extended Peach Jam event, the UNC basketball program will be closely monitoring numerous recruits of interest. Lewis is undeniably one of those prospects, as it seems that the Tar Heels are increasingly prioritizing him as a target for the Class of 2025.
