UNC Basketball Coach Drops By For Elite Prep Ahead of List Cut Amid Been Legit Contender
UNC basketball continues to act as though it is a legit contender for Braylon Mullins.
On Thursday afternoon, UNC basketball assistant Brad Frederick visited Greenfield-Central School in Indiana to meet with senior guard Braylon Mullins. According to Jeff Rabjohns from 247Sports, UConn’s head coach Dan Hurley, along with his top assistant Luke Murray, was also present as they aim to secure Mullins, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 180 pounds, during the final stages of his highly publicized recruitment.
Additionally, Mullins has climbed 85 spots since early June to rank No. 23 overall, No. 5 among shooting guards, and No. 3 in Indiana on the 247Sports 2025 Composite. He visited the Tar Heels last weekend and has since nearly canceled his other planned visits.

Braylon Mullins, an impressive backcourt player known for his exceptional athleticism, is planning to narrow his list of top 10 schools to five “early next week” and announce his decision date, according to national recruiting insider Adam Zagoria on Wednesday.
His top 10 schools include UNC, UConn, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Alabama, Indiana, Purdue, Tennessee, and Michigan.
Mullins, now a five-star recruit, received an offer from UNC head coach Hubert Davis in late May.
Davis and his team haven’t secured a top recruit for the 2025 class yet, but there are still several promising recruiting opportunities ahead, including multiple five-star prospects, for the Tar Heels.
