Phoenix Suns and Charlotte Hornets have completed a blockbuster trade centered around Miles Bridges. Phoenix acquires Bridges along with future draft picks, while Charlotte receives Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale, and a 2033 first-round pick as both teams continue reshaping their rosters for the upcoming NBA season.
The Phoenix Suns and Charlotte Hornets have reportedly reached an agreement on a significant offseason trade centered around veteran forward Miles Bridges.
According to Shams Charania, the Hornets are sending Miles Bridges to the Suns along with a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round selection.
In exchange, Charlotte will acquire Grayson Allen, Royce O’Neale, and a 2033 first-round pick from Phoenix.

The 28-year-old Bridges is scheduled to make $22.8 million in the 2026-27 season before hitting unrestricted free agency next summer.
Bridges spent eight seasons in Charlotte after the Hornets selected him in the 2018 NBA Draft. Although he became the longest-tenured player on the roster, he never reached the postseason during his time with the franchise.
During the 2026-27 season, Bridges played in 77 games, averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per contest.
LaMelo Ball Trade
Earlier in the offseason, the Hornets made another significant move by sending LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Charlotte received Naz Reid, an unprotected 2033 first-round pick, three first-round pick swaps in 2028, 2029, and 2030, along with three second-round selections in 2029, 2032, and 2033.
The trade added frontcourt talent in Reid while giving the Hornets a substantial collection of future draft assets, further signaling the organization’s focus on a long-term rebuild.
