MLB Social Media Reacts To Pham News

Here’s a look at some of the reactions following the news:
@MFliegelman suggested that while Tommy Pham may be past his prime, circumstances didn’t help, noting the New York Mets rushed him to the majors after only a brief stint in Low-A due to injuries. He added he’d be open to bringing Pham back on a minor-league deal to mentor younger players in Syracuse.
@CollectiblesVs criticized the move, calling it another poor signing by team president David Stearns.
@JohnStruble expressed disbelief that Pham was on the roster to begin with.
Michael Baron described the decision as the most obvious roster move, while hinting that another change involving a pitcher could be coming.
@jruggiero86 questioned why it took so long for the team to make the move.
Meanwhile, @SleeperMets went a step further, calling for manager Carlos Mendoza to be next.

Tommy Pham was in the midst of his second stint with the New York Mets.
Over a 13-year career, he’s also played for the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Kansas City Royals.
Mets Right Now

The New York Mets have struggled out of the gate this season, sitting at the bottom of the National League East with a 9–19 record through 28 games.
At home, they’ve also been underwhelming, going just 5–10 in 15 games at Citi Field.
After finishing their series with the Colorado Rockies, the Mets are scheduled to begin a new series against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.
