On Monday, the New York Mets were scheduled to begin a series against the Chicago Cubs at Citi Field.
The Mets entered the matchup following a 6-2 defeat to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Bo Bichette, who started at shortstop, went 0-for-4 at the plate and struck out twice.

New York Mets Announce Bo Bichette Decision
Ahead of Monday’s game, the Mets revealed their starting lineup.
According to Underdog MLB, the lineup features C. Benge in right field, B. Bichette at third base, J. Soto in left field, M. Semien at second base, M. Vientos at first base, E. Wagaman as the designated hitter, F. Alvarez behind the plate, A. Ewing in center field and Z. Short at shortstop, while K. Senga is slated to start on the mound.
Bichette will shift over to third base for Monday’s matchup.
The two-time All-Star enters the game hitting .248, with 77 hits, eight home runs, 42 RBIs, 39 runs scored and one stolen base through his first 77 appearances with the Mets.
Before joining the Mets, Bichette spent the first seven years of his Major League career with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Last season, he played a key role in helping the franchise reach the World Series for the first time since 1993.
